Tresco Autumn Tide Festival
Cross the channel to Tresco this October for a week-long celebration of food, art, music and island life, shaped by the turning season.

Autumn Tide is Tresco’s autumn festival, but guests staying with us at Hell Bay are warmly invited to be part of it.
Throughout the week, you can take the short journey across from Bryher and dip into as much – or as little – of the programme as you please: perhaps a guided walk or creative workshop one morning, a long lunch or tasting another day, or an evening of food and live music at The New Inn.
At this time of year, Tresco settles into a gentler rhythm. Days are made for garden wanderings, sandy walks, sea swims and time spent out in the elements; evenings for good food, local ales, music and fireside conversation.
At the heart of Autumn Tide is The New Inn, where island producers, chefs, artists, musicians and makers come together throughout the week to share the flavours, stories and creativity of Scilly. Across Tresco, you’ll also find guided walks, talks, creative workshops and experiences inspired by the landscape, history and wildlife of the islands.
Make the Festival Your Own
There’s no need to commit to the whole week.
Choose the events that catch your eye and build them into your stay at Hell Bay. The programme includes everything from garden tours, wildlife and archaeology walks to drawing classes, boat trips, low tide rambles, seasonal food, guest ales and live music.
Some experiences require advance booking, while others are simply a reason to head across and see where the day takes you.

From Hell Bay to Autumn Tide
Bryher and Tresco may be separate islands, but they’re close neighbours – making it easy to include time at Autumn Tide alongside slower days here at Hell Bay.
Check the daily inter-island boat times when planning your events and allow time to get from the quay to your venue on Tresco. Please note that there is no evening boating in October, so unfortunately you’ll be unable to join evening events.
