The Garden Yoga Studio
Revitalise mind, body and soul with an unwinding, restorative practice in our little yoga studio, tucked away amidst the hotel gardens.
From private practise to group classes and weekend retreats, the Studio is a haven of tranquillity.
Whether it’s an awakening morning practice or a calming ritual before you lay your head down for a night of restful sleep, the Yoga Studio is available throughout the day and evening for private or group practise.
Group classes are usually led by island yogi Gem Hansen, either in the Studio, out on the hotel lawn, or perhaps on one of Bryher’s blissful beaches if the mood takes you.
Gem – AKA Yoga Bryher – practises vinyasa, slow flow, yin, restorative yoga and guided meditation to beginners and beyond. Each class includes postures with alignment (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation (savasana) and integration of yogic philosophy.
Throughout the main season (from March to October), group classes are available on a Monday evening at 6pm & Thursday morning at 8:30am – a gentle practice suitable for beginners and beyond with breath-initiated movement to calm your mind and soothe your soul.
Gem also offers private classes throughout the year.
