Children & Families

Rates for children

Children aged under 2 years old stay free – please let us know, and we’ll ensure there’s a travel cot in your room.

Children aged 2 – 16 sharing a room with two adults are charged at £45 per child per night (Bed & Breakfast) or £70 per child per night (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast).

Younger children can be accommodated on a chair bed or Z bed; interconnecting rooms or our two-bedroom suites may be best for older children.

Baby monitoring

A baby monitor can be provided from reception and placed in the room. Our Reception team will happily listen in at intervals (until 9:00 pm in low season and 9:30 pm in high season). Alternatively, you may prefer to keep the monitor with you.

Babysitting

Babysitting is available on request and is chargeable.

Cots
Travel cots can be provided and sleep children up to the age of two. Children aged two and over must be on a chair bed or Z bed.

Dining

Please see individual Dining pages for service times.

Breakfast

The most important meal of the day is served from 7:45 – 9:45am each day. There’s no need to book, and all our rates include breakfast. You’ll be welcome to choose from our buffet and favourites from the kitchen.

Dinner

If you’re on a dinner-inclusive package, we’ll reserve a table for you each evening in the Restaurant. Please let us know if you’d rather dine in the bar or on the terrace (for example, if you’re bringing a four-legged friend).

If you’re on a Bed & Breakfast package, please be sure to book a table for dinner by 10 am if you’d like to dine with us that evening.

Room Service

Food can be ordered to your room during our regular dining hours.

Children

We have a special children’s menu in our Bar & Terrace, and can also offer an early High Tea at 5:30pm; please just ask.

Dogs at Hell Bay

We’re proud to be one of the most dog-friendly hotels on the Isles of Scilly – after all, your four-legged friends crave luxury occasionally too!

Charges

We charge £20 per night for up to two dogs to stay with you, including bowls, beds, blankets and towels for sandy paws, to save on your luggage allowance.

Out & About

Bryher’s wild and rugged surroundings are perfect for long walks, and all of Bryher’s beaches are dog-friendly (for the sake of local pets, wildlife and farm animals, please follow signage and keep dogs on a lead when requested).

Around the Hotel

At the hotel, dogs are welcome in our downstairs bedrooms and suites (paws off beds and furniture, please!) and our bar and terrace, but not in our restaurant. If you’d like to dine with your dog, we’re very happy for you to enjoy our restaurant menu in the bar or on the terrace – please just ask ahead.
