Dog Friendly Holidays on Scilly
With Bryher’s varied land- and seascapes on the doorstep, as well as a whole archipelago to explore, Hell Bay is the perfect dog-friendly destination on the Isles of Scilly.
Out & About
Bryher’s beaches, lanes and open heathland are wonderful for walkies, while our crystal clear waters are perfect for a spot of doggy paddle! The island’s beaches are dog-friendly all year, though for the sake of local pets, wildlife and farm animals, please follow signage and keep dogs on a lead when requested.
It’s easy to get your four-legged friend here, too, with dogs welcome onboard the Scillonian ferry, Skybus planes and Penzance Helicopters. Our friendly Reception team can advise on the practicalities of getting here, sourcing dog food and top tips on where’s best to explore.
Dogs are welcome in most eateries across Bryher and the wider archipelago, as well as on all the inter-island boats.
Pawfect Stays
Well-behaved dogs and responsible owners are most welcome around the hotel – after all, even our furry friends deserve a little luxury from time to time! Our ground-floor rooms are all dog-friendly, and we charge £20 per night for up to two dogs, including bowls, beds, blankets and towels for sandy paws.
Around the hotel, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead. They are most welcome in our bar and on the terrace but not in the restaurant. If you’d like to enjoy our 3AA rosette restaurant menu alongside your four-legged friend, please just let us know and we’ll happily set a table for you in the bar area.
Naturally, Assistance Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel and we don’t charge for these dogs.
We could just see the beach from bed. The children ran from the patio doors down to the sand. I swam. Someone had hung a makeshift hammock in the rocks above. Bryher was an immediate perfect fit for our feral family.
