All Saints Church: History & Community

26 August @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
A small stone church with arched windows stands beside a cemetery with old gravestones, surrounded by greenery and lit by warm, golden sunlight.

Step inside one of Bryher’s most distinctive buildings and discover the story of All Saints Church with churchwarden Kris Taylor.

There has been a church on the site since 1742, with the building evolving over the centuries as Bryher itself has changed. Today, the Grade II-listed church remains an important part of island life and a fascinating reflection of the generations who have lived and worshipped here.

Join Kris for an informal tour exploring the church’s history, the stories held within its walls, and its continuing place in the Bryher community. Along the way, look out for details including the locally designed and made stained-glass windows by Scilly artist Oriel Hicks.

Wednesdays at 2pm at All Saints Church, Bryher. The talk is free to attend, with donations warmly welcomed towards the Church Vestry Appeal.
