A celebration of the sea that shapes life on Scilly, with nine days of events on, in and around the water.

22nd – 30th August 2026

For nine days this August, Ocean Scilly brings together islanders and visitors for a celebration of the waters that surround us.

Across the islands, the programme explores Scilly’s relationship with the sea through wildlife, adventure, heritage and island life – from sea swimming, kayaking and coasteering to boat trips, talks and coastal saunas.

The festival begins on Saturday 22nd August with the St Mary’s Water Carnival, bringing together raft racing, sailing, angling, nautical fancy dress, live entertainment and local food around the harbour.
